Friends of Theodore Roethke are currently working on the following projects that need your help in funding:
- Complete purchase of Roethke residences
- Renovation and restoration of all Roethke structures
- Meet operational expenses
- Find and purchase original furnishings
- Develop and provide educational programs
- Plan landscaping and parking
- Make handicap accessible
- Meet local building codes and zoning regulations

Membership
Please join us in our effort to preserve the historical site of Theodore Roethke's childhood homes. By becoming a member of Friends of Theodore Roethke and donating to the Theodore Roethke Home Museum and Carl Roethke Development Center, you will provide invaluable funds to help protect these homes and their history.
Friends of Theodore Roethke Board of Trustees meets on the first Wednesday of every month from 6–7 pm at various locations. All members are welcome at these meetings. To be placed on a mailing list for receiving information about monthly meetings and to become a member, please contact us at 989-280-6499.
We are working to renovate and restore the buildings and grounds to their 1920s authenticity. In addition, we are planning writing workshops, interpreting rooms, researching local history, writing grants for further funding, holding tours and public picnics, celebrating Roethke's centennial year, and beginning a capital campaign.
As a participating member, you will be helping the museum and aiding in the restoration and preservation of a historical site.
All donations are federally tax deductible under 501(c)(3) status. Membership dues, however are generally not tax deductible.
